Learn the Art of Mosaics!

Learn the Art of Mosaics! With Joanne Gelles! In this two-part workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of mosaic design and construction while creating an approximately 8" x 10" project from colorful glass and pottery. The first session will cover project design, base selection, adhesives, safe cutting techniques, and assembly. Participants will return after their projects have dried to learn how to grout and finish their work. Available bases include a glass frame, plastic or metal tray, plant pot, Wedi board shape, or wooden cutting board. Participants may instead bring a special item of their own measuring approximately 8" x 10". No experience is necessary, all materials are included, and the workshop is open to ages 7 and older.
