Hello Caroline County Chamber members and friends! We hope this issue finds you safe and well.

Like most of you, we are learning to maneuver from home and continue to serve our community. In that quest, we were able to hold a few of our events via ZOOM.
One such example is our Small Business Academy. Led by H. G. Wilson, Talent Acquisition/ Corporate Trainer for Preston Automotive Group our members were taught that when making that sales presentation, just R.E.L.A.X. The five steps to a successful sale. What a great presentation! We are so grateful for the support and partnership we have with the Preston Automotive Group!

We also hosted our annual Legislative Wrap Up – Meet Up on April 13. The format was a bit different but our guest list was tremendous!
Thank you Senators Hershey and Eckardt, Delegates Ghrist, Jacobs and Mautz, Secretary of Agriculture Joe Bartenfelder and Regional Director Eastern Region Maryland SBDC John N. Hickman for your support.

Each distinguished guest shared insights on what they felt was pertinent to them. For example, the Senators and Delegates shared their thoughts on the recent legislative session, the “New Normal” and restoration. Secretary Bartenfelder shared information concerning the agricultural industry and Mr. Hickman shared insights concerning help for small businesses followed by questions and answers.

We hosted a We Are Here For You – Show Us Your Mask Raffle. To enter, all you had to do was share a picture of you wearing your mask. All who participated were entered into the raffle to win a $50 gift certificate to a Chamber business of choice. The winner will be posted on our social media page @carcochamber.

The Chamber was so excited to bring you our first ever Amateur Dog Show. Set for May 30th with a Coronavirus date of June 20th we were sure we would be able to host it. Unfortunately, with the State of Emergency in place, we are cancelling the event for 2020. We do plan to host it next May 22, 2021.

We would like to thank the Town of Greensboro for offering Ober Park to host the event and all the vendors that agreed to participate. Please mark your calendars for October 17th. Mactoberfest is set to take place at the 4-H Park in Denton from Noon-5 PM. We hope you will join us then.

Please check our website for complete details of upcoming events using carolinechamber.org.

Stay well, safe and Carolinestrong!
