Where to find food in Caroline

Posted

CAROLINE COUNTY – With the government shutdown and the lapse in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program funding, many are wondering where their next meal is going to come from. Below you can find a comprehensive list of all the places you can visit if you are in need of assistance or if you’d like to donate to help those who are struggling.

This list includes food pantries, resource centers, Blessing Boxes, and individual efforts to lend a helping hand. If you are unfamiliar, Blessing Boxes are outdoor boxes where food, toiletries, and other necessities are available to be accessed 24/7. The motto of the Blessing Boxes is “Take what you need, leave what you can.”

To see dates and times of which food resources are available on the Mid-Shore, visit https://www.midshorehealth.org/food or https://carolinebettertogether.org/#necessities.
