Michael Cole Butler of Greensboro, Maryland passed away at his home on Thursday, October 15, 2026. He was 71 years old.
Born in Easton, MD, he was the third son of the late James Roland Butler and Julia Emily Cole Butler. Michael was a graduate of Queen Anne's County High School, Class of 1973. In retirement, he loved to tinker with the many projects he started and completed. Truly he loved the many dogs he adopted as family and cared for throughout the years.
Michael is survived by three siblings: Frank Sheldon Butler, Brandon C. Butler (Mary), and Sallie B. Leager (Dale); and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by two siblings: James R. Butler, Jr. and Julia B. Barry.
A public graveside service will be on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 10AM in Woodlawn Memorial Park 11365 Ocean Gateway Easton, MD.
