Photographer Mickey Pullen captured the contestants at trotting and eating - and the trophy winners - at the 40th annual Turkey Trot on Nov. 22 in Denton, hosted by Caroline County Recreation and Parks.
Here's what Pullen had to say on the CCRP Facebook post:
Caroline County Rec and Parks held their 40th annual Turkey Trot this past weekend. Of all the events I attend and photograph, this has got to be my favorite.
CCRP always puts on a great event. It brings family, friends and county residents together to have some fun, get a little exercise and celebrate everything we are thankful for.
Sure it is put together as a "race" of sorts. But it is so much more and every person attending has a great time. Whether it is just chatting with people you might not have seen for while, letting the kids join in the activities of the day, walking or running in the cool autumn air, trying to win a pumpkin eating contest or getting a lucky draw on a free turkey or door prize, there is something for everyone.
Whether you win or not, everyone comes away with a smile and a happy memory.
Thanks Rec and Parks for another great Turkey Trot!
