The Bayside Senior All-Star basketball games are named in honor of Cliff Mister, a local sportswriter and editor who helped promote youth basketball in all its forms.
A 1962 Colonel Richardson High graduate, Cliff served in the United States Air Force, and later worked for several local newspapers until his death in 1996. A rabid basketball fan, he was one of the original organizers of the tournament now known as the Governors Challenge, and covered Eastern Shore sports for three decades.
