Colonel Richardson High School athletes from all Fall, Winter, and Spring sports gathered for a celebration of their accomplishments during the 2024-2025 school year on Wednesday, May 21, at CRHS.
Especially dedicated student athletes who participated in three sports, meaning they were involved in athletics all year, while consistently keeping a GPA over 3.25 were Ja’Zir Dickerson, Bradley Thomas, Selina Austinville, Ella Downie, Natalie Ferris, Hannah Hogan, Kaila Jenkins, Collin Brewer, Dom Caven, Muhammad Cheema, Aydan Downie, Jackson Jean, Betsaleel Pierre, Josiah Sagesse, Chase Vanderhoff, Addison Brewer, Lucy Church, Kira Claytor, Agatha Divjak, Ryleigh Hall, Brynne Harper, Taylor Harper, Jordyn Meeks, Sadie Prettyman, Lila Schriefer, Abigail Trice, Karmen Wimer, Evan Alexander, Kaysen Behlke, Brox Meissner, Polo Toussaint, Elizabeth Hesson, Lillian Lister, Mylee Stoner, Landline Dorleans, and Evie Swartz.
Students who played less than three sports but still maintained a high GPA were given the Minds in Motion award. An impressive total of 157 students received this award.
Each team’s coaches gave Most Valuable Player and Sportsmanship awards to students who proved to be an invaluable part of their respective teams. The coaches of the CRHS Varsity Men’s Basketball team, who made it all the way to the Maryland State Quarterfinals this season, selected Ja’Zir Dickerson as their MVP and chose LeShaun Allen to receive their sportsmanship award.
Those who held six or more Varsity Letter awards were recognized as well. These students were Collin Brewer, Cohen Carels, Dom Caven, Dylan Cecil, Morgan Demir, Aydan Downie, Tarron Hammond, Preston Rickwood, Cameron Todd, Carter Turbitt, Justin Wallace, Addison Claytor, Ally Conde, Montana Davis, Ani’Jah Hammond, Hailey Hauf, Paris Henry, Ziy’Aira Hudson, Kylie Rhinehardt, Samantha Schrieber, Dy ‘Asia Thompson, Viergena Toussaint, and Carly Van Schaik.
