Sherry Kay Osman-Durm of Ridgely, MD, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 24, 2026. She was 68 years old.
Born on June 16 1958, Sherry was the daughter of the late Kenneth William Morcombe, ll and Ella Cecilia Morcombe. She and her husband John T. Durm have lived in Ridgely for the past 25 years. Sherry has worked for Animal Control in Anne Arundel County where she was the rescue coordinator. She also was at Animal Control in Caroline County and was a part-time EMT in Caroline County. She loved animals and cared for them deeply She also loved to laugh and enjoy life. Her favorite holidays are Halloween and Christmas.
In addition to her husband, Sherry is survived by her father’s wife, Theresa Marie Morcombe; two sons, Larry Wayne Osman, Jr. of Easton Md and Kenneth Wilber Osman of Calvert County, MD; a niece Brittany Eslin (Matt) and her son, Nate, of Annapolis; eight grandchildren; and her husband John’s family: daughters Crystal Dowd (Charlie) of Baltimore and Cindy Bachman of Pasadena, and Dawn Hindman of Kentucky; and son, Chris Durm (Tracy) of Federalsburg Md; and 11 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Jan Morcombe.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Friday October 30th at the Lakemont Memorial Gardens 900 W Central ave Davidsonville Md 21035.
