Samantha Marie Nice 31, of Marydel, passed away suddenly at St Agnes Hospital in Batimore MD on June 15, 2025.
Samantha was born on February 11, 1994, in Easton, Maryland, to the late Robert Adam Nice Jr. and Dorthea Dawn Gant. She was raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and attended Queen Anne’s Middle School through the ninth grade. In 2011, she proudly earned her GED, a testament to her determination and independent spirit.
Samantha had a deep love for reading and, in recent years, developed a growing passion for crystals and tarot cards. She had a natural gift for writing—her words were beautiful, thoughtful, and moving, often leaving a lasting impression on those who read them.
Samantha spent some of her adult years living in Baltimore, where she continued to grow, explore, and express herself.
She was preceded in death not only by her father, Robert Adam Nice Jr., but also by two beloved brothers, Bruce Lee Gant and James Morris Brady III.
Samantha is survived by her fiance Andre Corbett, and her devoted mother and stepfather, Dorthea Dawn Marie Gant and Augustus Talley of Marydel, as well as her three cherished children: Jeremiah Isiah Hill of Marydel, Jocelyn Rose Carter “Rosie” of Ridgely, and Akyl Ja’Brady Nasir Corbett “AJ” of Baltimore. She is also survived by her brother, John Henry Gant III of Cumberland, and her nephew, Mason Henry Gant of Millington.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to assist with the final arrangements for Samantha.
