Ruth Dean Dennis

Ruth Dean Dennis, 84, of Greensboro, Maryland, passed away peacefully at Bayhealth Sussex Hospital on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Ruth is survived by her son, Kenneth Lee Dennis Jr., and her daughter, Sharen Kay Dennis, both of Greensboro, MD. She is also survived by her two beloved grandsons, Travis Lee Dennis and Casey Lee Dennis, and their mother, Virginia Monath Bodmer, also of Greensboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lee Dennis Sr.; her parents, Ralph and Caroline Thorpe Dean; and her brothers, Robert Dean and Marion Dean.
Ruth was a proud graduate of Greensboro High School, Class of 1958. She worked at Playtex in Dover, DE before becoming a dedicated stay-at-home mother and local “Avon Lady.” Once her children were in school full-time, Ruth began a long and fulfilling career with Greensboro Supply Inc., where she worked until her retirement.
Arrangements are being handled by Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro, MD.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 20th, with interment at Greensboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Ruth’s memory be made to the Greensboro Cemetery Association, to support the cleaning and upkeep of Department of Veterans Affairs grave markers.
