It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Hamilton Janvier, III, known to his friends and family simply as Ricky. Ricky left us too soon at the age of 37, in Federalsburg, MD.
Born August 4, 1989, in Delaware; he was the son of the Richard H. Janvier, Jr. and the late Joanne DiMartino Janvier.
From a young age, Ricky was a curious soul with a love for tinkering. He grew up on the family farm, but later in life would be found surrounded by computers and RC cars, exploring the world of mechanics and technology. His passion for driving also extended to motorcycles, which he loved to work on and ride.
Ricky dedicated his professional life to the construction industry as a general contractor, showcasing his hard work and dedication. He took pride in his work and had a way of bringing a little piece of himself into every project he tackled.
Ricky is survived by his father, Richard Janvier, Jr. (Rita) of Lewes, DE; his siblings Michael Janvier of Delaware; and Andrea Janvier Sparks and husband Billy; of North Dakota; his paternal grandparents Florence and Richard Janvier, Sr.; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his mother Joanne Janvier; his niece Angelina Noble; and his nephew Jeremy McGrady. Although his journey was cut short, the memories of his laughter, adventurous spirit, and kind heart will forever remain with those who knew him.
Celebration of Life is at Trap Pond State Park Bethesda Church 16611 Wootten Road Laurel, DE 19956 on Saturday, August 29, 2026 starting at 11 AM. Please park in the parking lot of the church, as well as on the roadside across from the church. Per the parks request, please back in when parking across the road from the Church. Food and drinks immediately following inside the Park at the Open Pavilion. In this time of sorrow, may we find strength in each other and in our cherished memories of him.
