Richard Allen Buckle Sr., 84, of Easton, MD, passed away on July 1, 2025, in Cambridge.
Born on June 18, 1941, in Caroline County, MD, Richard was the son of the late Fred and Mary Buckle. He was a proud member of the Centreville High School Class of 1959. After graduation, Richard worked alongside his father on a local farm, spent time in the construction field with Barnes & Sons, and later began a long-standing career as a painter, where he dedicated over 30 years before retiring.
A devoted member of the Nazarene Church in Easton, MD, Richard was active in children’s ministries, he also, served as an usher and assisted the church by driving the church bus . He enjoyed simple pleasures—taking walks around town, planting flowers (with snapdragons being a favorite), and listening to Doris Day and classic country music.
Richard leaves behind a lasting legacy through his beloved family: his son Rick Buckle Jr. (Kelly) of Trappe, MD; grandson Urijah Buckle of Trappe, MD; and three sisters—Shirley Ann Ross of Hurlock, MD, Doris Elaine Buckle of Easton, MD, and Anna P. Buckle of Easton, MD. He also shared a close bond with his special niece, Diana Jewell of Goldsboro, along with many other nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10th, 2025, at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro, MD., from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place immediately after the service at Greensboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Richard’s name to a charity of your choice.
