Rader Dorthlia Steward, of Greensboro, Maryland, formerly of
Chestertown, Maryland, was born on November 23, 1936, to the late
Esther E. Graves and George W. Derry in Chestertown, Maryland.

She peacefully transitioned to her eternal home on Saturday, November 29, 2025 in Greensboro, Maryland at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold W. Bordley Jr.

Rader grew up on Church Lane in Pomona, Maryland, where she received her early education in the public schools and her secondary education at Henry Highland Garnet High School in Chestertown,
Maryland.

Rader worked at Washington College and Great Oaks, as well as, serving numerous families, throughout her adult life, as a child care provider. Since her retirement, Rader enjoyed watching soap operas, completing puzzles and going shopping.

In addition to her parents, Rader was preceded in death by her husband Cleveland M. Steward Sr., a daughter, Sandra Burton, a son, Darrell Bordley, a grandson, Lemuel Harris III, a sister Patricia Watts, a stepson, Cleveland M. Steward Jr. and a son-in-law Donald Williams.

Rader leaves to cherish her memory; her daughters, Coretta Williams,
Rosalind Bordley and Pandora Bordley, her son; Harold (Flora) Bordley Jr.; twelve (12) grandchildren; Shane (Sue) Medford, Delicia, Kendall Jr., Tawanda, Jeron, Clarence Jr. (Curtisha), Shanetta (Carlos), Travis, Latisha, Ronald Jr., and NaTasha; a stepson; Terry; two (2) sisters; Priscilla and Dorothy (Troy), and a host of great grandchildren, nieces ,nephews, cousins and friends.
