DENTON – The polls have closed in Caroline County after a hotly contested primary election for several local and state offices. Some races, like the Caroline County Clerk of Court and Register of Wills offices, had no opposing party candidate, making the primary even more crucial. Others, like the Caroline County Sheriff and State’s Attorney roles, were uncontested.
Early voting and election day voting results have been reported, but most races are too close to call until provisional and mail-in ballots are counted. The preliminary, unofficial results as of 10:00 p.m. on June 23 are available below, with local offices showing specific vote counts and state-level races showing frontrunners.
