Oliver Robert “Butchy” Carroll Jr., 50, of Greensboro, MD, passed away peacefully at his home.
Born on July 17, 1975, in Easton, MD, he was the son of Oliver Carroll Sr. and Dorothy Whittington. Affectionately known as Butchy, he was a proud graduate of North Caroline High School in Ridgely, MD.
Following graduation, Butchy worked for Cook’s Tire in Goldsboro for 12 years before joining George & Lynch in Dover, DE. In 2000, he began his own carpentry business. He also proudly enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served for a short time. Butchy was a member of the American Legion in Denton.
He had many hobbies and interests, including collecting knives, drawing, wood carving, hunting, and fishing.
Butchy was preceded in death by his beloved nephew, Marty Douglas.
He is survived by his parents.; and three sisters: Sunday Dee Greenwell (Mike), Christina Marie Douglas (William), Billy Jean Gulley(Vinccent) and a nephew, Colton Douglas.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10th, from 12–1 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1 PM. Interment will take place at Greensboro Cemetery.
