This Spring marks 55 years since the NCHS class of 1970 walked across the stage. To commemorate the occasion, a class reunion was held at Cow Barn Events in Ridgely on Sunday, April 27. Classmates Christine Zlock Fike, Diana Golt Hurd, and Susan Woodward Ringgold organized the event, which was attended by 34 total members of the class. A memorial wall was assembled to honor the classmates who have been lost over the years.
Fike said the last time the class had a formal reunion was in 2005, which marked their 35th anniversary of graduating. Good food, drinks, and conversation were in plentiful supply. While their lives have pulled them in various directions over the last 55 years, they all settled right back in at Ridgely as if they had never left. Many classmates were already planning their next get-together by the time the event concluded.
