One seat is up for grabs this year on Preston’s Town Commission. There are two candidates in the running: Incumbent Town Commissioner Nelson Anderson, and Planning Commission member Scott Messick.
Preston’s commissioners are elected for a term of five years. Anderson, having previously served on the Commission, stepped in to fulfill the remainder of former Commissioner Doug Vanderveer’s term. That term is now coming to a close.
The election will be held on April 28. Preston residents may cast their votes from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Preston’s town meeting room, located at 105 Backlanding Rd. Preston MD, 21655.
