Mary Catherine Greeson of Ridgely, MD, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at The Dixon House in Easton, MD. She was 95 years old.
Born at home in Ingleside, MD, Mrs. Greeson was the daughter of the late Otis Henry Wooleyhand and Florence Elizabeth Ross (Wooleyhand). Her husband, Donald Greeson, passed away on December 25, 2017.
Mrs. Greeson graduated from Sudlersville High School in 1949, the last class for 11 years. She worked at Black and Decker in Easton for many years, retiring in 1993. She was an avid reader and liked to sew. Loving her family dearly, a joy in her life was Sunday family dinners featuring home-grown vegetables from her husband’s garden.
Mrs. Greeson is survived by a daughter, Debbie Milby and her husband Kent from Cordova; two grandsons from Cordova: Logan Milby (Leslie) and their children, Landon, Lucy, and Laney, and Reagan Milby (Gretchen) and their daughter, Charlotte; two brothers, William Wooleyhand of Sykesville and Wilson Wooleyhand of Denton; and two sisters, Lizzie Thompson and Jeannie Sherwood, both of Greensboro. She was predeceased in 1973 by a son, Donnie Greeson, Jr. She was also predeceased by three sisters: Betty Lou Wooleyhand, Ruth Anna Bolt, and Barbara Andrew; and five brothers: Elwood Wooleyhand, Paul Wooleyhand, Tommy Wooleyhand, Elmer Wooleyhand, and Henry Wooleyhand.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 10th, in the Greensboro Cemetery in Greensboro, MD.
