Madison Horton

Madison Horton is the Shelter Program Assistant at Martin’s House and Barn. She initially joined MH&B as a Shelter Monitor in October 2025 and was promoted to Shelter Program Assistant in January 2026 in recognition of her commitment to the guests and the shelter community.

In her role, Madison connects members of the community with vital resources such as rental and utility assistance, and provides shelter support and housing search services to guests in the Martin’s House Shelter Community. She approaches her work with compassion and a genuine desire to help individuals and families move toward greater stability.

Madison is also passionate about creating positive and engaging experiences for the families staying at Martin’s House. Drawing on her background in art, she organizes arts and crafts activities and other creative opportunities for both parents and children to make sure Martin’s House never goes too long without arts and crafts activity. These activities help foster connection, creativity, and moments of joy within the shelter community, ensuring that Martin’s House is a place where families can experience not only support and stability, but also creativity, expression, and togetherness.
