Leslie Eugene Tyler, Jr., 72, of Greensboro, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on October 30, 1953, in Easton, Maryland, Les was the son of the late Leslie E. Tyler, Sr. and Dorothy Fisher Tyler. During his high school years, he worked on his grandparents farm, developing the strong work ethic that would guide him throughout his life. He later joined the parts department at Elliott Equipment and went on to enjoy a successful career in sales for more than 20 years, including many years with Behlke's. He also owned Corner Market in Tilghman and Denton.
On August 23, 1975, Les married the love of his life, Sally. Together they shared over 50 years of marriage. Les had a lifelong passion for baseball and proudly played and coached men's softball. He also enjoyed reading, watching John Wayne movies, and cherished every opportunity to spend time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Les was preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie Anne Tyler-Johnson, and his sister, Roxanne Anderson.
Les leaves behind a lasting legacy through his beloved wife, Sally Tyler; his daughter, Mary Anne Chapman (Cheyenne); his siblings, Kathleen Haga (Vance) and Dewayne Stewart (Dawn); and his cherished grandchildren, Victoria Bozman, Camden Johnson, and Makayla Johnson. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Holley Guschke (Sean), Michael Ozman (Kim), Cassidy Maguire (Patrick), Savannah Stewart, Casey Pinder-Wagner (Otis), and Ryan Pinder (Ashley), as well as his sister-in-law, Jackie Pinder.
By Les’ request, there will not be a funeral service. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville, Maryland, in memory of Leslie E. Tyler, Jr.
