Kat Stork-Blaher was awarded the 14th annual Black List Award from the Ministers & Citizens for Change, Inc. This annual award is in recognition of community members who work for improving the lives of those served by churches and civics group in the greater Federalsburg-Hurlock area.

The award was to be presented to Stork-Blaher in February, but illness prevented her to attending. Instead, she was given the award at the April  23 Community Dinner and Conversation, hosted by Caroline Better Together at the Federalsburg Lion Club.

Stork-Blaher is principal of Shore Strategies, and manages the Caroline Better Together initiative on behalf of the Caroline County Human Service Council. The Caroline Better Together conducts outreach through dinners to bring the community together to discuss the issues facing residents.  In accepting the award,  she pointed out that participants at the April 23 dinner are, "across the county, across languages, across religions here to show dedication to Caroline Better Together."

Members of the General Assembly gave Stork-Blaher official citations to recognize her Black List Award.
