Jeffrey Alan Welch, 67, of Marydel, Maryland, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Bayhealth Hospital in Dover, Delaware, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on September 30, 1958, in Chestertown, Maryland, Jeffrey was the son of the late William "Jack" Welch and Wretha Joyce Welch. He attended Queen Anne's County schools and spent many years working in carpentry, farming, and operating heavy equipment until becoming disabled.
Jeffrey enjoyed spending time with his family and found great pleasure in camping, hunting, and tending to his garden. He was rarely seen without his signature red bandana and will be fondly remembered for his remarkable ability to repair anything that was broken or invent a solution when one was needed.
In addition to his parents, Jeffrey was preceded in death by his daughter, Tamara Sue Welch.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Carmen Ann Welch; his sons, L.J. Welch (Charda) and Daniel Welch; and his beloved granddaughter, Lucy Welch. He is also survived by his sisters, Joyce ("Smoke"), Jayne (Andy), and June (Phillip), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends who will cherish his memory.
Funeral services will be private.
