Born on September 6, 1962, in Anne Arundel County, MD, beloved son of Alvin (Buster) and Virginia (Ginny) Ebling, Gregory spent most of his life in Ridgely, MD. He attended North Caroline High School and later earned his GED. Gregory also went on to serve a short term in the United States Army.
Greg is survived by his children, Tyler James Ebling and Carissa Nichole Ebling, one brother, Marshall Lee Ebling; grandchildren, Dovavan Ebling, Aaron Eckmeyer, JJ Eckmeyer, and Jurion Morris; and one great-grandson, August Hayes Eckmeyer. His legacy lives on through his nieces and nephews: Marshall Ebling Jr., Danny Ebling, Joey Ebling, Andrew Ebling, Amber Ebling, Autumn Ebling, and Brian Ebling.
His working years began at Ridgely Sawmill, followed by a position with Jon Gellen Construction, before eventually becoming self-employed, he was a skilled carpenter and various trades. He also worked for the Maryland State Lottery, delivering lottery tickets to every retailer on the Eastern Shore
Greg “Giggy”, as he was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering respect. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Greg had a deep love for music, a passion for his family and friends, a keen interest in coin collecting, and a talent for construction. More than anything, he treasured the moments and memories shared with those he loved—collecting wonderful experiences above all else.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, followed by interment at Ridgely Cemetery, in Ridgely, MD.
