For the first time in its 68-year history the Caroline County Garden Club presented scholarships to two Caroline County high school students. Cameron Todd of Colonel Richardson High School and Madelyn Porter of North Caroline High School were the recipients of the inaugural scholarships offered by the Club, each in the amount of $500, at their school’s respective Senior Awards Night in May.
The requirements for the scholarships included demonstration of academic excellence, service to their school and/or community, and the intention of enrolling in either agriculture, horticulture, land conservation, or environmental studies at college in the fall of 2025.
