Franklyn Calvin Knolls 87 of Felton, DE, passed away on March 24, 2025 at his home
Franklyn was born on August 08, 1937, to the late Frank E. Knolls and Delilah “Morehouse” Knolls in Cortland, NY. Franklyn was a proud veteran of our country’s United States Air Force. He went on to become a technical research associate for General Foods.
He is survived by two daughters Janet Rash (George Jr.) of Petersburg, DE, Sherry Bailey (Ron) of Johnson City, NY, two sons, Wayne Knolls(Laura) of Greenwood, DE, Jay Knolls ( Michelle) of Wilmington, NC, two sisters, Alberta Burns of Horsehead, NY, Peggy Babish of Toms River, NJ, a brother, David Knolls(Nancy) of Union Springs, NY. Franklyn leaves behind a legacy with ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents Franklyn was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Jester Knolls, two children, Margaret Smith, and Mark Knolls, one grandson, Ryan Bailey, and one granddaughter, Celeste Knolls, and four siblings, Bernice Lanpher, Fred Knolls, Elsie Knolls, and Richard Knolls.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro, MD from 11AM to 12PM, followed by a service at Noon, Interment at Greensboro Cemetery will take place after the service.
