Frances Marie Roderick, 84, of Greensboro, Maryland passed away peacefully in the early morning on July 4th, 2025 at The Pines in Easton, Maryland. A viewing will be held at Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro, Maryland on July 11th, 2025 at 11am followed by a graveside service at the Greensboro Cemetary at 12pm.
She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 12th, 1941 to John Francis Roderick and Emma Marie Haines. She graduated from Western High School and then from John Hopkins University with a Masters in Business. She worked for years at Commercial Credit until its closure where she then moved on to what she described as her favorite job. This was in the legal department of the Maryland Port Authority in Baltimore, a job she treasured and retired from many years later. In her personal life she enjoyed reading and traveling with her friends and family. She also volunteered a lot, most at the Catonsville Senior Center where she met many friends.
She is survived by her younger sister Denise Sala née Roderick, her nephew Michael John Roderick with his wife Heather and her niece Victoria Allyn Williams. She is also survived by her niece Lisa Marie Roderick and her daughter Samantha Marie Brown.
Frances will be remembered for her generosity, intelligence and love for her family and friends. Many will also remember her for her deep love of animals especially cats as she regularly donated to many animal welfare organizations.
