Evelyn A. Hackman, of Felton, Delaware passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at her home. She was 72 years old.
Evelyn was born on August 13, 1952, to the late William Short and Ruth Anna Biles Short. Evelyn was a lifetime resident of Felton, Delaware.
Evelyn worked for Interactive Marketing Service for 15 years. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, flowers and loved the numerous dogs she welcomed into her home over the years.
Along with her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 22 years, John “Jack” Hackman, and her son, John W. Hackman. Evelyn is also preceded in death by her brothers and sister.
She is survived by her long-time friends Thomas and Barbara Hrupsa and family, and her nieces and nephews.
At Evelyn’s request services will be private. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your local SPCA or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
