Eden Town Brewing Company Grand Opening

Posted

DENTON – Eden Town Brewing Company, the newest addition to the Eastern Shore’s growing craft beer scene, is excited to announce the official opening of its doors to the public.  The newly constructed 8,000+ square foot space features a tap room and event space, along with the beer production area.

Located in the heart of downtown Denton, the project broke ground just over a year ago.  Owners and local residents, Matt and Sarah Dahl, are hopeful that their new venture will have a positive impact on the community.  “We’ve tried to partner with local businesses during the construction phase, and we plan to continue that now that we’re open,” says Matt.  “We want to highlight other great local businesses as much as possible.”  Willow Construction, based in Easton, served as the project’s general contractor, and Rick Breeding Excavating of Denton performed much of the site work.

The Dahls’ goal was to turn the site of the former Nuttle Lumber warehouse into an inviting destination for locals and visitors alike, complete with indoor and outdoor seating, family-friendly features, and a dedicated space for private events.  “We hope that people will choose to celebrate their special occasions here,” says Sarah.  “It should be a great place to have a birthday party, rehearsal dinner, or other event.”

The beer selection will start with five varieties and expand over the coming months.  “Our head brewer came in with a lot of experience and a lot of great ideas, and it really shows in these first few batches,” says Matt.  “We’re very happy with how the beer is turning out.”

Visitors to Eden Town will notice features designed to highlight the family’s connection to Caroline County.  The wall of the tap room features a sail first used by Sarah’s grandfather on his homemade boat in the 1930’s.  The sail was repurposed in the 1980’s when Sarah’s father campaigned for elected office, and is now enjoying a third act in the brewery.  Other details like antique cannery labels and tokens and historical photos of the property add to the new building’s charm.

The brewery’s initial operating hours, beginning on December 19th, are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11AM to 9PM.  Thanks to a partnership with Caroline’s in Denton, a food truck featuring elevated bar food will be operating on site whenever the tap room is open.

“We’re just proud to see our vision come to life,” says Matt.  “Our family and our team here have put in a lot of effort to make sure it’s a special place.”
