Douglas James Harris Sheldon

Douglas James Harris Sheldon 65 of Goldsboro, MD, passed away suddenly on June 3, 2024, at Bayhealth in Dover, DE.
Douglas was born on June 14, 1959, in Baltimore, Maryland, to John Sheldon Sr. and Shirley Jean Michal. He grew up in Baltimore before moving to Goldsboro about 30 years ago.
Douglas was a proud carpenter for most of his life and took great joy in building and creating. He also loved fishing, boating, and spending time outdoors, and he loved to cook, eat and watch old tv shows.
Known for his friendly and outgoing personality, Douglas loved being surrounded by friends and family. He was also a passionate animal lover.
Doug was preceded in death by his father John Sheldon sr. and two nephews Rodney Sheldon Jr. and Adam Sheldon.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Michal (Dick), and his three children: Tanya Easton of Bel Air, MD; Douglas Sheldon Jr. (Mindy) of Baltimore, MD; and Kesha Sheldon of Halethorpe, MD. , and four grandchildren: Zoe Easton of Bel Air, MD; Dominic Sheldon of Baltimore, MD; Alexa Haziminas of Halethorpe, MD; and Liam Gibson of Halethorpe, MD. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Vicki Hornsby, and her four children: Lacy, Brian, Tiffany, and Danielle, He is also survived by two brothers: John Sheldon of Hagerstown, MD, and Rodney Sheldon (Jaye) of Goldsboro, MD. He leaves behind a legacy with many nieces and nephews, John III, Shirley, John IIII, Kimberly, Stosh, Jake, also many cousins. —as well as his beloved dog, Scarlet.
