DENTON, MD — June 23, 2026 — Denton Church of the Nazarene is pleased to announce the official pastoral installation of Reverend Dan West. The formal installation service was held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter of spiritual leadership for the congregation.
The service was conducted by Dr. David Bowser, District Superintendent of the Mid-Atlantic District of the Church of the Nazarene. The ceremony officially solidified the covenant relationship between Rev. West and the Denton congregation. In addition to local congregation members, other local pastors were in attendance to share welcome messages and blessings.
Rev. West comes to Denton with a full history of ministry and leadership. An Ohio native, he was ordained in the Church of the Nazarene in April 2012. Over the past 14 years, he has ministered across the country, pastoring at churches in Alabama, Louisiana, and North Carolina. Rev. West relocates to the Eastern Shore alongside his wife, Patience, and three of their seven children.
"I am humbled to have received a call from Denton Church of the Nazarene and look forward to fully integrating into this wonderful community," said Rev. West. "I believe the church is a critical part of every community as we look beyond ourselves for direction, guidance, and hope."
The congregation of Denton Church of the Nazarene warmly welcomes the West family and invites local residents to join them for weekly worship services to meet the new pastor.
