Dennis Lee Bishop of Hurlock, MD passed away at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton on April 3, 2026. He was 62 years old.
Dennis was born on December 20, 1963 in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Larry Lee Bishop, Sr. and Gertrude (Jackson) Bishop. He graduated from North Caroline High School with the class of 1980. He then went on to begin working at Mitchell’s Junkyard and then at Mid Atlantic, before finally settling on his career as a hydraulics mechanic with P&M Hydraulics. He retired in 2020.
When he wasn’t working, Dennis could always be found out shooting sporting clays at various locations. He also spent time at the American Legion and was involved with the Salisbury Fire Department.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jason Bishop and Rodney Bishop.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bishop; children and stepchildren: Jessie Lazenby, Brittany Gross (Cody), Brooke Bishop (John Christienson), and Jayla Bishop; grandchildren: Ty’Air Groce, Ta’Layah Lazenby, Rayden Lazenby, Waylon Gross, Blake Christienson, Lyle Gross, Cohen Gross, Ta’Kari Groce, and John Christienson III; siblings, Barbara Jackson, Margaret Faudree, Larry Bishop, and Thomas Bishop; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
