Daryl Thomas Hardy

Daryl Thomas Hardy, 65, of Berlin, Maryland, passed away on June 14, 2026, at TidalHealth Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland.

Born on March 31, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland. He spent much of his youth on Maryland's Eastern Shore and graduated from North Caroline High School in Ridgely, Maryland.

Following graduation, Daryl pursued a variety of occupations throughout his life, always embracing new opportunities and experiences. He worked as a carpenter for many years before becoming self-employed as a painter.

Daryl enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a passion for fishing, crabbing, and hunting. He also loved playing guitar, shooting pool, and gathering with friends. His easygoing nature and enjoyment of life's simple pleasures will be remembered by all who knew him.

Daryl was preceded in death by his father, Sonny Hardy and his brother, Roger Duprey Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Joan Duprey of York, Pennsylvania; his two daughters, Megan Hardy of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Abigail Hardy of Snow Hill, Maryland; and his brother, Kevin Hardy and wife Peggy of York, Pennsylvania.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Ridgely Cemetery in Ridgely, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Daryl's honor to the American Cancer Society.
