DENTON – In case you missed it, many a laugh was had at Clayton Farms’ all-you-can-haul pumpkin sale on Sunday, October 18. But not to worry, Caroline Review photographer Mickey Pullen was on-site to capture all the comradery.
The idea behind the event is that anyone could walk away with as many pumpkins as they want for just 25 dollars – as long as they can carry them on their person for a minimum of twelve feet. This year’s sale saw families getting creative by sticking pumpkins and gourds in their pockets, overalls, and socks, all while balancing stacks of pumpkins in their arms. Rumor has it that one particularly strong fellow secured his family’s bounty by simply carrying their loaded wagon across the finish line.
