(Ridgely, MD – September 24, 2026) – Benedictine hosted it’s 24th annual Chrome City Fundraiser on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The event drew hundreds of visitors, motorcycles, hot rods, classic, custom, and vintage cars to the campus in Ridgely, Maryland. The day included a car and motorcycle competition, as well as entertainment for the whole family. The Benedictine Foundation’s Chrome City Fundraiser supports students and adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can achieve their greatest potential.

The first 50 cars that registered received a dash plaque and everyone that registered received a commemorative Chrome City t-shirt. Awards were given for the top 10 cars and motorcycles, as well as best in show for each. Best in show was awarded to a ’56 Chevy Wagon and a ’23 Polaris Slingshot. Thank you to Del Mar Va Judging Group for selecting the top 10 cars and the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office for selecting the top 10 motorcycles.

Food trucks including Uncle Bernie’s Steak Shack, Belly Bustin Grill, Smokin’ on the Shore BBQ, Jimmy’s Fat Rolls, Batty’s Brews, Walker Family Seafood, Breezy Treats, Isiah’s Ice Cream, and Pages & Pours provided breakfast, lunch and sweet treats for purchase. Music was provided by DJ Shannon as well as The Stoneflies – a Paul Reed Smith employee band.
