The Caroline County Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon on its new office space on June 25, 2025.
The organization paired the celebration of the purchase of its office space with the block party at 108 Market Street, Denton. The building had previously been home to local attorney Walt Palmer, who retired earlier this year.
According to Tracey Snyder, Executive Director, the timing of the building’s availability fit nicely with the organization’s desire to obtain permanent office space. As is usually the case with small business networking, a conversation between Snyder and Palmer resulted in the purchase of the property in April.
Snyder noted that the building needs cosmetic improvements, such as central air and replacement windows, and a capital campaign is in place to fund the improvements. The capital campaign is run through the Mid Shore Community Foundation, which can accept tax deductible donations on behalf of the Chamber.
The Chamber will utilize the building for its administrative offices, Board of Directors meetings, pop-up retail events, and small-scale business support activities, such as its Women in Business luncheons. There are plans to host “Friday on the Porch” a happy hour style networking event. Additionally, Chamber members may access the office for their use as a benefit of membership.
