DENTON - Governor Wes Moore declared a state of emergency to provide $10M in funding to the Maryland Food Bank in response to the continuing federal government shutdown's impact on SNAP benefits, according to multiple media sources.

The Maryland Food Bank is a network of food banks, food pantries, and blessing boxes across the state. The funds will be used for purchasing; the distribution network is not expected to change.

In Caroline County, there are established places to receive food.  The Caroline Senior Center posted a list of resources on its Facebook page, and with permission, has granted Caroline Review permission to reprint as images above.
