Brad Sears sworn in to serve on Ridgely Town Commission

RIDGELY – Clarence B Sears, better known as Brad, was sworn in for the second time to the Ridgely Town Commission at the regular Commission meeting on May 4, 2026. The incumbent Commissioner Sears kept his seat with 115 total votes, beating challengers Jamie Romph and Allison Morris.

After being sworn in by Ridgely’s Clerk-Treasurer Stephanie Berkey, Commissioner Sears took the third chair on the Commission. The President of the Commission in Ridgely is based on a cycle of seniority, with Commissioners in their last year of their term automatically being named President. As such, Commissioner Sears passed the gavel to Commissioner John Hurley, who will serve as President until April, 2027.

Commissioner Sears will serve for the next three years, until April 2029.
