Allen Wilson Edwards

Allen Wilson Edwards, 87, of Felton, Delaware, passed away on October 19, 2025, at Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover, Delaware.
Allen was born on September 4, 1938, the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Edwards and Ada Mae Edwards. At the age of 18, he began working in auto body repair, where he discovered his lifelong passion. In his 20s, he opened Edwards Body Shop in Chestertown, Maryland, which he owned and operated for 40 years.
On August 30, 1986, Allen married the love of his life, Edith, who remained faithfully by his side ever since. He enjoyed antiquing, attending auctions, gardening, and riding his Kubota tractor.
Along with his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his son, “Rusty” Alan Wilson Edwards Jr.; his grandson, Frankie Edwards; his sister, Joyce Melvin; and his brother, Billy Edwards.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Edith Edwards, and his five children: Marsha, Walter (Yuki), Jeffrey (Tami), Andy (Bobbi), and J.C. He is also survived by four stepchildren: Carmen, Patty, Bonnie, and Stanley. Allen’s legacy continues through his siblings, Robert “Bobby” (Judy), Ruth, and Ronald (Linda); eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at noon. Interment will immediately follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Sandtown, Delaware.
